Urša Zgojznik is a long time leading president of most known Slovenian environmental NGO – Ecologists Without Borders Association. It is a non-profit association dedicated to improving the environmental situation, focusing on waste management. This is achieved by promoting cooperation and activation of individuals and organizations in their local environment. Their projects are research, education and campaigns in the field of waste prevention, reuse and recycle. In 2015, they organised a first big conference about circular economy in Slovenia, together with Ministry of environment and spatial planning. They are national coordinators for Slovenia in Zero Waste Europe network.
Urša is an expert in the NGO sector, especially for civil initiatives and environmental questions. Urša works mostly on project planning and managing, strategy planning and creating new models of thinking, management of small and large teams. She is known by iniciatives for reduction of food waste, concrete circular economy solutions and organising big cleanups as Očistimo Slovenijo.
Urša Zgojznik is also a Professor of Mathematics and Pedagogy with fifteen years of experiences in teaching, lecturing and motivating.
