H.E. Masaharu Yoshida

Graduated from Tokyo University in 1978. Joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan in the same year, and served in various posts including Senior Assistant, Japan-US Security Affairs, North America Affairs Bureau, Director, Research and Programming Division, Economic Cooperation Bureau, Director, United Nations Administration Division, Multilateral Cooperation Department, Minister, Embassy of Japan in the Philippines, Minister, Embassy of Japan in the People’s Republic of China. In 2006, served as Consul-General of Japan in Guangzhou, China, in 2009, as Director General, International Affairs Department, House of Representatives, and in 2012, as Consul-General of Japan in Chicago, USA. After serving as Ambassador of Japan to the United Republic of Tanzania from 2015 to September 2018, is currentlyAmbassador of Japan to the Republic of Slovenia.
